Term 4 2016 – courses starting in October 2016

There are two community courses running in Perth – in the Cities of Cockburn and Belmont – and 1 in the CBD for CPSU/CSA Union members – and very exciting news – 3 courses coming to Adelaide for the first time! Residents in the Cities of Unley, Onkaparinga, Holdfast and Marion are being offered courses to attend at local centres, thanks to their local council and the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board.  All details below…

Term 4: Cockburn Living Smart at Bibra Lake

Course Description:

Have you wondered how you can make your life more sustainable? Do you want to respond positively to issues like climate change? Do you want to meet people who care about the earth like you do?

Living Smart is a 7-week course (plus an additional field trip) that will inspire you to make sustainable changes in your own home with your family. The course is designed with the needs of participants in mind and includes topic such as Waste, Living Simply, Power, Water, Gardening . . . and more. This course is brought to you by City of Cockburn and facilitated by Shani Graham and Tim Darby, the most experienced Living Smart facilitators in Australia.

Term 4: Glenelg Living Smart Course (SA)

Course Description:

Would you like to learn how to live more sustainably? Want to meet like-minded people? Want to respond to the big issues in local and tangible ways? The 7 week (2 hours every Tuesday plus a field trip) Living Smart course if for you!

For just $60 ($30 for concession) you will journey with two facilitators and a host of guests to not only be inspired but learn new skills to put into practice straight away!

Preference is to local City of Holdfast and Marion residents.

Living Smart Union Spring Sessions go here for more details. The course runs on Saturday mornings starting October 8th at the CSA Centre for members.

Award winning educators, Shani Graham and Tim Darby, from Ecoburbia, deliver a two-day LS facilitator training over two Sundays. The course costs $220, plus a shared lunch.

On Day One we will look at the skills and information needed to facilitate Living Smart. Day Two will involve sharing ideas and activities for your course, before looking at the essential policy requirements.
